Each time a woman stands up for herself… she stands up for all women
Maya Angelou
We celebrate the strength, wisdom, resilience, and influence carried by women across the world. International Women’s Day reminds us that the power of a woman is not only in what she achieves, but also in what she gives.
This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reflects a timeless truth both in life and in Scripture: when we give from a place of purpose and generosity, growth and multiplication follow.
The Bible reminds us of this powerful principle:
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over…” — Luke 6:38
Giving is never a loss in God’s economy. What we release in love, wisdom, encouragement, and service often returns multiplied in ways we cannot predict.
The Proverbs 31 woman models this beautifully. She not only builds her household but also extends her hands to others:
“She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.” — Proverbs 31:20
Her life teaches us that generosity and strength can coexist. A woman who gives does not diminish her influence — she expands it.
In the same way, the early church thrived because people shared what they had. When one person gave, the entire community gained.
DARE Woman, you carry something powerful within you — your voice, your wisdom, your encouragement, your faith, and your experience. When you give these to others, you help create pathways for women around you to rise.
And Scripture reminds us again:
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” — Proverbs 11:25
So today we celebrate women who continue to give — their leadership, their compassion, their mentorship, and their courage.
Let this be our reminder that when women give from purpose, communities grow, families flourish, and generations are strengthened.
This International Women’s Day, let us continue to:
Give encouragement.
Give wisdom.
Give support.
Give opportunity.
Give hope.
Because when women give, we all gain.
Happy International Women’s Day.
With gratitude and celebration,
